Clay Aiken: Coattails and Prop 8

So Adam says Clay Aiken needs his coattails huh. All I see is a tattered pink dress and some fishnet stockings.

Clay's comments on Prop 8 were lifted from his private fan club message board and there ain't no coattails there either. You can read his thoughts in their entirety on CANN.

No coattails there at all. As a matter of fact, not much of anything there that I can see. Adam is just disgusting.

This is what American Idol was pimping?

Well, I'll take Clay Aiken's thought-provoking, articulate musings on Prop 8 any day; and I applaud the man for his intelligence, compassion, patience, and inclusive attitude.

He uses his voice for more than just beautiful singing, just as he said he wanted to do.

As for the screamer in the tattered pink dress? I can't believe that this is what the judges at American Idol were pimping to win this year. What the hell were they thinking?

Adam Lambert may well be a perfectly nice fellow; I don't really know, only time will tell. But from what I've seen and heard of him of late, I'd say HE needs some coat tails to cover up the rattiness.

And a hand over his mouth to shut off the pettiness.

But that's just MY opinion. Oh, I am allowed to have one, aren't I?

I don't think Pink is his color. BWAH!

I love Clay's thoughts on Prop 8. His intelligence intrigues me, as does his voice.

I think if Clay ever got messed up in those dresstails, he would run screaming.

I really appreciated and enjoyed hearing Clay's opinion on the results of Prop 8. Intelligent and very well spoken.

His comment about Adam?.. not so much. Sorry?

I still love him the best. (Clay)

But there are a couple other better pictures of Adam out there. haha

Oh my - That is Adam Lambert?
ooops!
Thanks for the link to CANN regarding Clay Aiken's post on Prop 8.
I love an intelligent man. Oh, and he can sing like no other.

Clay stated his opinion on Adam's ROF performance and it seems some didn't want to hear it! He only said what Simon and many others said...minus the bleeding ears part! If you can listen to his performance all the way through and not cringe or mute it...go for it! I seriously doubt you will be able to! Adam's comments towards Clay were personal and not becoming of him at all. Clay's answer to the Prop 8 question is why he will NEVER need to ride on Adam Lambert's coattails or anyone else's. Clay is very intelligent and articulate and very successful. Whether he sings or speaks.....people listen!

Clay's comment about Prop 8 is intelligent and well-reasoned. And Clay doesn't need to ride on anybody's coattails; he's already a star!

:) thank you Truth!!! Loved Clay's articulate and well thought out opinion about Proposition 8. I hadn't looked at it that way before, but I have to agree with him. It's difficult to voice rational thoughts on such an emotional topic, but Clay did in such an eloquent manner.

Let's see, Clay Aiken needs to ride on Adam's coattails???

Like Clay did with proposition 8, let's look at this rationally rather than emotionally and make a list: coming in 2nd on American Idol (oh wait, Clay already did that); cover story Rolling Stone (oops, Clay already did that too); American Idol tour (dang, Clay already did that); debut album selling 600,000+ the first week (huh? Adam didn't do that, Clay did!); NY Times Best Seller (grrrr, Clay again); 9 concert tours (scratching head, Clay again!); two very successful runs on Broadway (are you seeing the same trend?? yep, Clay again); Started a foundation which works toward inclusion for all (hum, Clay); UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador (well dang it Adam, I'm trying but CLAY again!!!)

:( I give up, seems to me that it's the other way around and Adam's riding on Clay's coattails *sigh* well I tried to make sense of it.

I think Suereu has said it all and there really isn't much else to say.

Clay is more than just an all 'round performer. He is a man who not only talks the talk but walks the walk as well. He has been slammed right, left and centre and always takes the high road and ignores. Too bad that Adam could not have done the same as I kind of liked the guy ... at least most of the performances I saw. 'Nuff said.

Clay should not have posted what he did about Adam. Clay had to know that he was going to get burned on those comments.

I love reading Clay's thoughts on Prop 8; Clay is just incredibly smart.

And Lambert, Clay doesn't need your coattails. But I do wish Clay would pursue his music career and shut the naysayers up once and for all.
