Clay Aiken and Tyra Banks - Then and Now

Back in the fall of 2006 when Clay Aiken had just released his A Thousand Different Ways album he was scheduled to make an appearance on the Tyra Banks show. He was supposed to have a short interview and sing a song from the album. Clay and Tyra instantly hit it off and what was supposed to be a short interview turned into almost a full hour.

Little did they know they would become very good friends and that 2 1/2 years later Clay would be presenting an Excellence in Media award to Tyra at the 2009 GLAAD awards in New York City.

I so loved their being together for this show. What a great interview for both of them... Is it any wonder that the two of them hit it off and have remained friends? I think not, as Clay Aiken, once he has embraced you, you are his!..

Thanks for reminding us of their great friendship and his honoring their friendship by writing this speech for Tyra!

Ah, what fun memories. Clay Aiken and Tyra Banks together - a match made in TV heaven!

And it's oh so special that Clay was asked to present the GLAAD award to Tyra. I'm beyond thrilled for both of these compassionate, warm hearted, and beautiful people.
