“Something About Us”
Last year a fan used Clay Aiken's song “Something About Us” to create a video tribute to the love between Barack and Michelle Obama. This past week we found out that this video came to the attention of the Obama camp who requested permission to show it during one of the Inaugeral Balls tonight.
The song was written by Michael O'Brien, along with Scotty Wilbanks and Regie Hamm, as a tribute to his wife.
Tonight when our brand new President and his First Lady dance, these lyrics from the first two verses will be so true.
Michael's mother found the video and wrote the following comments:

Beautiful!.....My son, Michael O'Brien wrote this song for his wife....the albumns name is:
"Something About Us". How fitting for such a lovely couple as Barack and Michelle Obama.

I never tire of seeing that beautiful montage and hearing Clay Aiken's amazing voice!! It would be wonderful if part of this ended up on national TV tonight!

An Obama Love Story is truly a beautiful montage but I have one correction to make to Michaels mothers comment. The album is not entitled "Something about us" - that is one of the cuts from Clay Aikens new CD entitled: On My Way Here.
Michael recorded the song on his album which was titled "Something About Us".
Clay's album is titled On My Way Here.
I love your article, love that song and the video is golden. How wonderful that the composer's mother found that great video. She must be so proud of her son and proud of Clay.
