Clay Aiken: Gone Fishing
Clay Aiken has gone fishing? Well, not really. But he is taking a break from work for a bit. Instead of finding him on the Broadway stage or on a concert stage, you'll find him helping out UNICEF with their TAP project or at his second annual GFI event.
We all know that when it comes to kids, Clay Aiken does what he can to help them and the TAP project is UNICEF's effort to ensure that every child has clean drinking water.
Clay also blogged for UNICEF and the Believe in Zero campaign. His blog can be read in full on The One Blog.
All of us can help to save children’s lives – individuals, nonprofits, corporations, and governments.
So I am asking President Barack Obama to launch a Presidential Initiative to Accelerate Child Survival. And I am asking YOU to join me, by signing a petition to the President.
ONE supporters care about helping the most vulnerable people on our planet. Please join me in telling the next President of the United States that Americans want him to make global child survival a top priority. For more information and to sign the petition, go to: http://volunteers.unicefusa.org/activities/advocate/presidential-initiative-to.html
-Clay Aiken, UNICEF Ambassador
Next week Clay and PGA Professional Wayne Player will be hosting the 2nd Annual Golfing For Inclusion to benefit The Bubel/Aiken Foundation.
Clay's idea of going fishing is spending his time doing what he can to help all the kids who live in our world. So don't look for him sleeping in a rowboat on a lake somewhere.

YAY CLAY!!! Hope he is having a nice fishing trip!
But, true to character, he always has time to help out the children of the world.
I've signed the petition!!
Thanks TR!!
Clay has worked hard all year and certainly deserves a break. I hope he has time to enjoy some time for himself and play with his son, sleep in and "go fishing".
His caring heart makes him involved with causes throughtout the world. What a wonderful young man.
Thank you for reminding us of that!!
I LOVE this blog, Truth Rules. Full of information and more importantly he owns the right to have a fishing trip if he wants...
His charitable endeavours always seem to come first for him and I'm so glad I'm a fan - who couldnt be..
Thanks for blogging :<)
Truth,
Awesome! The man deserves a vacation -- fishing, playing with Parker, whatever -- and here he is working on the charities you outlined.
Thank you for getting the word out about Clay Aiken. Thank you, too, for your kind comment in the Carolina blog.
Have a great weekend!
Caro
I think the charitable work rejuvenates him.
Thanks for commenting.
Great blog! Clay has been working his buns off this past year with his full calendar, many that aren't in the public gossip eye. His UNICEF work shows that!he deserves a few days of personal time!
Happy Sunday ♥
Great Blog TR!
Clay is at his happiest when he's helping others and his charitable work should get a lot more focus than it does. Thanks for keeping the word out there.
Too funny! I was working on a "Gone Fishing" blog myself when I saw this one pop up. And so now... I'm thinking I'll have to re-think. Because this one was SO much more uplifting than the one I had in mind. Great job!
*hangs head*
Aw Chardonnay, I don't know why the Gone Fishing line popped into my head. It was just one of those times when something writes itself.
Thanks for blogging, Truth. I always enjoy your blogs.
Yea - the man never stops.
Great blog Truth!

Super man, great way to spend his time with worthy causes!
Looks like he reeled it in,(the fishing pole) and came ashore, for a mini concert tonight, at the Mirasol.lol
I love your graphics. The one pic reminds me of Norman Rockwell artwork.
